The Structural Insulated Panel
offers the architect and developer planning a carport, canopy, walk cover,
sunroom or modular room a wide range of design flexibility and product benefits. Whether your unit is
free-standing, wall mounted, has a flat or gable roof or must complement existing
architectural styles, the panel adapts easily.
It features an expanded polystyrene
foam core shaped to provide continuous insulation and eliminates any
concern over condensation problems. The skins are rolled to form a
unique, patented locking system that allows sealant to be applied
internally. This protects the sealant from ultraviolet destruction
and forms a waterproof seal. The panels go together quickly and
easily and are built to last.
Depending on the job requirements,
the panel can be built 3" to 8" thick and comes in 23-1/8" and 48"
widths. Various gauges of aluminum and steel are available. Beams can be built right into
the panel for a multitude of uses including electrical chase ways and supports for lighting
fixtures and fans. If you wish to add a splash of sun to your walk cover or canopy,
openings can be precut and framed at the factory for skylights. Panels can be manufactured
to the exact length needed, saving valuable time at the job site and are pre-engineered to
snap directly together.
A complete engineering department
including a licensed structural engineer is available. Site specific drawings and
calculations can be developed upon request. Installation drawings can also be included in
the package both standard and custom. The product is backed by a 10 year limited
manufacturer's warranty and complies with national building codes.
Whether you represent a school,
hospital, military base or even a church, Structural Insulated Panels are the perfect
choice for a beautiful yet economical walk cover. The panels are also proven and tested in
many other applications including vending booth covers, in-plant offices, restaurants,
industrial storage units, condominium carport facilities, storefront canopies, utility
covers, carwash structures, and loading zone canopies.
